The Twitter “Bomb Hoax” case: worse than we thought?
via thelawyer.com
'The Lawyer' journal has today published a detailed analysis into the Paul Chambers "Twitter-bomber" case. I would advise anyone who posts onto the internet either via blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Myspace or any other site to read this carefully. The way that the Crown Prosecution Service now appear able to charge someone for a different offence to the one that they were originally arrested for is a very worrying development.
Fighting for free speech is all well and good, but the other equally-important fight is to ensure that those whose job it is to enforce the laws passed by Parliament do so as they were originally intended by the MPs that passed them!
